Village Hall News:

Macmillan Fundraiser / Community Coffee mornings

On Friday 29 September we were delighted to host Roger Bettles’ Macmillan fundraiser at the Village Hall at our Community Coffee morning slot. Over 50 people attended and the event raised over £1000 for the Cancer charity. The Community coffee mornings will continue throughout the year every Friday between 10 and 12, they are free and all are welcome.

Village Hall Survey
The Trustees recently commissioned a full building survey of the hall to identify areas needing attention in the short and longer term. The report highlighted the need for extensive renovation and environmental mitigation work, which will potentially affect how the building supports the community in the future. There is a lot of work and consultation needed and a working party has been formed to start to look at these in detail. In time we will consult widely with the village for local views.

New Trustees Management Committee Members
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Ketki Mistry and Monica Price who will be working on Hall bookings. It is great to see new faces on the team, and we are always open to anyone who would like to come and join us. Please do get in touch.

Hall Hire Availability
There are a few daytime slots available to book the Hall or the Meeting Room. Some of these can be booked for regular use, if required. If this is of interest please get in touch. More details can be found on our website:
